Mulled Cider Scented Black


Warm autumn spices and apples combine to make fall in a cup!

‘Tis the eve of something great. Take up your cup of warm spices. Drink of the apples whose colors rival the falling leaves. Stave off the coldest of nights, be warmed in body and spirit by the sweetest of fragrances, and be awakened to the glories of autumn with a Mulled Cider scented black tea. Enhance the warm spices with brown sugar, should you wish to sweeten it, and a touch of milk will not go awry.


Steeping Directions

Learn how to make “Mulled Cider Scented Black” to enjoy at home!


 water at a rolling boil (~212° F)

 1 tsp tea leaves per 6 oz. water (standard teacup)

 ~ 3 2 minutes: Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!

brown sugar will complement, but milk is not recommended

Tea Tip: For fullest flavor, use a tea strainer with enough room to allow the tea leaves to open as they steep.


 water at a rolling boil (~212° F)

 1 12 heaping Tbsp tea leaves (32 oz. water / medium-sized teapot)
2 heaping Tbsp tea leaves (48 oz. water / large-sized teapot)

 ~ 1 4 minutes: pause timer, drain tea strainer, return, continue steeping

 ~ 3 minutes: start tasting every 15 seconds, steeping to your preference

 ~ 3 2 minutes: recommended steep time for “Mulled Cider Scented Black.” Drain tea strainer, serve, and enjoy!

 Brown sugar will complement.  Milk will not complement.

Tea Tip: Taste by pouring only a quarter inch of tea into the cup.
